            Dr. Atanu Jana is a Research Associate at Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Vidyasagar University and Ph.D. from University of Calcutta. He did his first Post-Doctoral study at University of Calcutta (2013-2014) and second one from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, USA (2014-2015). Currently, he is pursuing his third Post-Doctoral study at IIT Delhi (2015 to present). He is recipient of several awards like Young Scientist Award from Indian Chemical Society, Reviewer Award for Journal of Molecular structure, Arabian Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Taibah University for Science. He is life members of several scientific professional bodies like “Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists” and “Materials Research Society of India”. Till date, he already published 36 articles in different peer-reviewed journals including Chemistry of Materials, Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, Analyst, New Journal of Chemistry, RSc Advances, Dalton Transactions, Tetrahedron Letters, Journal of Luminescence, Inorganica Chimica Acta, Polyhedron, Journal of Molecular Structure etc. He has strong interest to design and synthesize new polytopic ligands which can be employed to generate clusters, grids, helicates, cages, ladders and racks through self-assembly processes. His research interests also lie in the areas of chemical biology and biomolecular engineering. Recently, he is actively engage in studying the fundamental optical properties of fully inorganic as well as organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite nanomaterials.
