Dr. Biswajit Pal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, St. Paul’s Cathedral Mission College, Kolkata (under University of Calcutta). He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Chemistry) from University of Calcutta and Ph. D. from Jadavpur University. He did Post Doctoral Research at Mc Gill University, CANADA. He has served as the Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS.  His research areas include Metal ion assisted electron transfer reaction of biologically active organic molecules in micellar media, Atmospheric Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Material Science-Glass Ceramics. He is the recipient of the “SCIENCE  FLAME” Award of World Science Congress in 2015. Dr. Pal is the Editor of the “Journal of Institute of Chemists (India)” since 2014 and also Associate Editor for the “journal of Indian Chemical Society” since 2011. He is an elected Fellow of Institution of Chemists (India) and also conferred as a Chartered Chemist by Institution of Chemists (India). He has published more than fifty five research articles in peer-reviewed journals including Elsevier, American Chemical Society (ACS), Royal Society of Chemistry, Wiley, Springer, Bulletin of Chemical Society of Japan etc. He has delivered several Invited Lectures in National and International Conferences. He has been serving as Reviewer to a number of National and International Journals.
