              I worked on utilization of low value cuts in small ruminants and developed restructured mutton slices by utilizing 20 % of low value cuts of carcass by hot-set binding system with utilizing vacuum tumbling and massaging and cold-set binding system with utilizing calcium alginate and carrageenan as cold-set binders. Most importantly I utilized a natural antioxidant ie) Grape Seed Extract for extending the shelf life of restructured mutton slices in both aerobic and vacuum packaging during refrigerated storage (4±1°C) and published the data in Meat Science (ELSEVIER) Journal which is having highest impact factor and NAAS rating in the world regarding meat science and technology research. Extensively worked and published the data on carcass and nutritive characteristics, fatty acid composition and cholesterol of emu (Dromaiusnovaehollandiae) birds and their meat. Developed and evaluated the quality of various low fat ethnic meat products of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh like Nara KodiIguru, MamsapuMottikalu, and BonguKodi Kuraand popularized widely in consumers. Presently I am Principal Investigator for Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Dept. of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India sponsored research project entitled “Development of Novel Binding Systems for Restructured Buffalo Meat Products” with a budget outlay of 24, 65, 367/- , Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati sponsored research projects entitled ” Development and quality evaluation of chicken meat sausages enriched with omega-3-fatty acids” with a budget outlay of Rs 1,00,000/- and Studies on characterization of slaughterhouse wastewater and its impact on public health with a budget outlay of Rs 90,000/- and Ayurvet Pvt.Limited, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India sponsored research project entitled as “Efficacy of herbal formulation AV/LMP/10 in lean meat production in broilers” with a budget outlay of Rs.87,600/-. Presently I am guiding 04 PG students as a Advisory Committee Chairman and 8 PG students as Member in Advisory Committee and 1 Ph.D student as Member in Advisory Committee.
