Dr. Krishna Gopal Mandal, Ph.D.

            Dr. K.G. Mandal obtained B.Sc. Agri (1991) and M.Sc. Agri (1993) with 1st class first & faculty topper from Institute of Agriculture, Visva-Bharati; Ph.D. (1998) from BCKV, West Bengal. He has more than 18 years  of research experience in ICAR as Scientist (1998-2007) at IISS, Bhopal; Post-Doc Res (2005-06) at CAU, Beijing; Senior Scientist (2007-2013) and presently as Principal Scientist (since 2013) at ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar. He has outstanding contribution in the field of research on soil, nutrient and water management, bioenergetics in crop production, conservation tillage, irrigation agronomy, weather & crop planning and water management in canal commands; and transfer of technologies. He has more than 75 research papers in international and national journals of repute having high impact factor; currently he has more than 15 H-index and more than 35 RG Score of his publications. He has received several awards, honours and recognition viz. Gold Medal Award, Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Invitation, Tapan Memorial Award from Visva-Bharati; ICRISAT Research Fellow; CSC Chinese Govt. Fellowship (2005-06); ICRISAT Doreen Mashler Award (2006); ICAR-DWM Scientist Proficiency Award (2011); ISA Fellow (2013), Indian Society of Agronomy, New Delhi; Editorial Board Member and Peer Reviewer of international and national journals; IRRI Invitation-International Workshop (2011); Elected Member (2012-2014) & Sectional Recorder (2014-2016) of Agriculture & Forestry Sciences, ISCA, Kolkata; Life Member of several Professional Societies in Agricultural Sciences.
