Myself, Dr. V. Karuppaiah obtained my Under graduate degree B. Sc., (Ag) during the year 2003 and Post Graduate degree M. Sc. (Ag) in Agricultural Entomology during 2006 at Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU), Coimbatore. I completed my Doctoral program Ph. D. in Entomology with specialization in Insecticide Toxicology from the prestigious institute Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa campus, New Delhi during 2013. I have passed all India based Agricultural Research Service (ARS) exam during 2007 and Joined as Scientist at Indian Council of Agricultural Research (IARI) in the discipline Agricultural Entomology during 2008. Presently, working as scientist (Agricultural Entomology) at ICAR-Directorate of Onion and Garlic Research, Pune and previously worked at ICAR- Central Institute for Arid Horticultural, Bikaner Rajasthan. Research area is Integrated Pest Management in Horticultural Crops with special emphasize on Arid Fruits and Onion; Host Plant Resistance and Insecticide Resistance Management. I have 20 research publications in the form of research article, technical and popular article as well as book chapter in the various National and International journals. Recipient of DST-SERB Young scientist, IARI-Senior Research Fellowship for Ph. D. and Post Graduate fellowship from Government of Pondicherry for Post Graduate Course M. Sc., (Ag). Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the ICAR during 2007. Have total of 43 citations with H-index: 2 and I-index: 1.
