Dr. Fozia Homa is an Assistant Professor and Jr. Scientist in the Department of Statistics, Mathematics & Computer Application, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, India. Teaching is her passion and she is actively involved in teaching and research in statistics.

Recently, Dr Fozia Homa is conferred with S P Dhall Distinguished Publication Award in Statistics- 2015 by the Society for Advancement of Human and Nature (SADHNA), Nauni, Himachal Pradesh, India and the Young Scientist Award- 2015 by Venus International Foundation, Chennai, India. She was also a recipient of the Best Young Researcher Award – 2015 by GRABS Educational Trust, Chennai, India.

Dr. Fozia Homa acquired B.Sc. (Statistics Hons’) and M.Sc. (Statistics) degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India and Ph.D. (Applied Statistics) with specialization in Sampling Techniques from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. She is the member of Editorial Board of International Journal “Horizon Research Publishing Corporation”, “GBS Publishers and Distributors and “Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods”. She is dynamically indulged in research and teaching Statistics, Mathematics & Computer (graduate and Doctorate).  She is the Major advisor of 06 students from undergraduate and post graduate and Co-advisor of more than 50 post graduate students of Agriculture. She actively participates in teaching Post Graduate in Agricultural Statistics and other agricultural discipline like Advance Sampling Techniques, Real Analysis, Data analysis using statistical packages, Demography, Regression Analysis, Time Series, Mathematical Methods etc. and papers of undergraduate of Mathematics, Statistics and Basic Computer.

Dr. Fozia Homa is involved in research related to Sample Survey. Her aim is to propose different effective and efficient estimation procedures, which provide cost effective estimates in different sampling scheme. She is presently handling one project from university fund on “Development of Efficient Estimation Techniques in Sample Survey”. She has published many papers in different journals of national and international repute.
